Rehabilitation of the “Puente Duarte” Bridge, Santo Domingo
The Puente Duarte Bridge consists of one western approach structure designed as a simply supported girder system, a suspension bridge with a span of 175.53 m, and two eastern approach structures, also of the simply supported girder system.
The total length of the bridge is 332.80 m.
All bridge structures have reinforced concrete (RC) deck slabs.
During the bridge inspection, damage to the cables was observed, and it was decided to replace all cables.
